This is redesign poster using grid. This was a music event so I used many instruments for my design: yellow guitar, pink drum, blue microphone. I also add white music notes.

SAVE THE OCEAN

This is a poster that warns about water pollution. I heard over the news about dead body of a whale washed up the shore. The whale's stomach was full of trash. That gave me an idea to create this. I don't try to say save the whale but the whole ocean.

"RAGS" POSTER

This is a poster for the movie named "Rags". One of the main roles was played by Keke Palmer. She is one of my favorite actress. I traced her portrait to create this poster.

"BLUE FLOWER: A LEGEND OF THE WEST" POSTER

This is a poster of the movie named "Blue Flower: The Legend Of The West". Blue Flower was a Native American young woman. She was the daughter of the chief of her tribe. She had a happy life with the love from her people. When the enemy attacked her tribe, she dressed herself as a man to join the war.

These are flyer for the same event. There is a Bluegrass music concert in the Grant Park. There are three designs for this event for three type of people may want to come. This is a specimen poster for Futura font. It was created by letters in Futura font. The text below demonstrated the other font in Futura family.

"THE EYES OF ANNIE" NAME POSTER

This is a name poster called "The Eyes Of Annie". This font has eyes on each letter called Peeps. The letters were rearranged. The letter divided the background to different parts. Each part has different colors and textures.

DENIM DAY POSTERS

Both of these posters are for Denim Day. Jeans are symbol of Denim Day.

The blue poster has "we are not tolerant of sexual violence" was written on it. I put three girls wearing jeans for this poster.

The other poster has "My jeans protests against sexual violence" written on it. The girl is wearing jeans. She is putting her arm up as a "stop" sign. The flame implies the sexual violence.

Many companies let their employees working from home. Many schools give students online classes. Many people feel lack of exercise because they are not going out anymore. The first poster is an advice for people that work from home and students that take online classes.

This poster is one of advices for old people in this pandemic.

Many old people worried about their health in COVID-19 pandemic. I took one of advices for old people in this pandemic to create this poster. To illustrate the advice, I draw an old woman watering her garden.

This is a map of Virginia Beach. It was trace from real map. Actually, this map is for tourist to find a place to go when they visit Virginia Beach. This map is like giving direction more than geographic map.

I have three mockups of this map. It can be put on the street for tourists to look at. It can go on shopping bag and notebook as a gift for tourists, too.

QUOTE POSTER

This is a poster demonstrated a serif font called Baskerville. The poster took one of Twyla Tharp's quotes to demonstrated Baskerville font. Sometimes art can take people's souls to the world of their own when their body are still inside their home. The colors around the words "ART" and "HOME" are the color make us feel like we are looking at an open sky.
